Colour Pop Local Time Lux Lip Oil ($8.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a nearly-clear gloss–just barely tinted with some pink–and faint copper and gold micro-shimmer. There was only a hint of shimmer, too, so it would be most suitable to someone who was looking for shine, light hydration, and didn’t mind a touch of pearl. I think this shade (along with the other three that were launched with it) would be better described as translucent or ultra-sheer for coverage.

Thankfully, the gloss itself was smooth, non-sticky, and comfortable to work with and sat well on my lips. It didn’t have a lot of staying power–an hour and a half to two hours–and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

The formula is supposed to have a "sheer kiss of colour" that is "nourishing" and "lightweight." It's a creamy, smooth balm-like gloss with moderate shine that is comfortable to apply and to wear. It did have sheer coverage that applied fairly evenly with little to no settling into my lip lines (better than most glosses!).

They were hydrating while worn, but they only lasted two hours or less on me, which wasn't unexpected based on the texture (no tackiness and thinner than a longer-wearing lip balm). They had a sweet, almost lemony scent to me with no discernible taste.

Colour Pop Gen Zen Lux Lip Oil ($8.00 for 0.16 oz.) appeared almost clear–there was a bit of a golden tint–along with barely-there pearl. Applied to my lips, it darkened them slightly, which I find is true of shiny/balmy products (kind of like wetting a matte powder often makes it darker) and added a touch of warmth. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and like an emollient lip balm without any tackiness. It lasted for an hour and a half but felt lightly hydrating over time.

Colour Pop Reign Check Lux Lip Oil ($8.00 for 0.16 oz.) has a nearly clear base with fine peachy and lavender pearl. It was only at an angle, from further away, that I could even detect that there was any lavender-ish tint (more like a milky, cool pink tinge), so it was much sheerer than sheer–there’s just a distinction between clear compared to sheer. Applied to my lips, it didn’t seem to add a lot of coolness or pink tones either, which just reinforced that it had very little in the way of a tinted base.

The texture was smooth, non-sticky, and comfortable to work with as it was lightweight and balmy. It applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines, so the texture was rather flattering on at least. It lasted for two hours but was moisturizing while worn.

Colour Pop Blossom Out Lux Lip Oil ($8.00 for 0.16 oz.) has a peach-tinted, translucent base with a light sprinkling of pearl. The formula was intended to be sheer, though this shade, along with the other three launched with it, are sheerer than the original release. It seemed to pull some warmth out of my natural lip color while adding shine and faint pearl.

The texture was lightweight, almost like a creamier lip balm, and non-sticky, so it was comfortable to wear, though it only lasted for two hours on me. The formula was lightly hydrating over time for me.
