Makeup by Mario Pale Petal Soft Pop Blush Stick Review & Swatches

Pale Petal Makeup by Mario Pale Petal Soft Pop Blush Stick Makeup by Mario Pale Petal Soft Pop Blush Stick ($28.00 for 0.37 oz.) is a medium pink with warmer undertones and fine, golden pearl throughout a dewy finish. It had sheer to semi-sheer color coverage when applied to bare skin and blended out, as it was inclined to sheer out quite readily as the more emollient texture spread well on bare skin (or over foundation). When applied directly from the tube and left unblended, it seemed more pigmented, but this level of pigmentation was only achievable through building up layers–it was designed to be a sheerer, more buildable formula, so it was in line with expectations. The consistency was smooth, balmy, and moderately emollient, which gave it a very dewy finish that never fully dried down but was not tacky on my skin. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably. FURTHER READING : Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent)...

Danessa Myricks Mermaid & Parade Colorfix Foils Reviews & Swatches

Mermaid Danessa Myricks Mermaid Colorfix Foils Danessa Myricks Mermaid Colorfix Foils ($18.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is a brighter, medium blue with subtle, cool undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was best applied in thinner layers. I’d highly recommend squeezing out a little product onto the back of your hand or onto a metal palette, then picking up product with a fluffy brush to diffuse and apply to the skin. Applying with a fingertip or a flat, synthetic brush resulted in a thicker layer of product that tended to get gummy as it set, which resulted in chunkier texture and made it harder to get an even result. I think the effect can be “worth it” because it had a ton of shine and shimmer, plus stellar wear (10 hours without fading or creasing), but I definitely find the finish to be difficult to work with, even after having a lot of experience with the formula at this point. YSL Beige Tribute, Rose Dahlia, Rose Celebration Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

Beige Tribute (10) YSL Beige Tribute (10) Rouge Pur Couture SPF15 Lipstick YSL Beige Tribute (10) Rouge Pur Couture SPF15 Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy beige with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly to my lips. For the type of color, it applied quite well, but it was slightly more prone to settling–noticeably–into my lip lines compared to most shades in the range. The texture felt lightweight, moderately creamy and smooth, while still being on the thinner side (but never clingy). It stayed on nicely for four hours and felt hydrating while worn.
