Sydney Grace Black Hole & Forest Floor Cream Shadows Reviews & Swatches

Black Hole Sydney Grace Black Hole Cream Shadow (2020) ($8.00 for 0.34 oz.) has a darker gray base with flecks of larger silver sparkle over a more metallic finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage that applied at its best and most evenly when worn at high coverage. I found it harder to apply and blend out the edge without getting some fallout (initially) and the base didn’t appear as even. The texture was smooth, thin, and spreadable with a good amount of time to play before turning more powder-like–but it was never inflexible and could be blended slightly after it dried down. It wore well for nine hours before creasing and had very slight fallout after eight hours of wear. Melt Cosmetics Stargazer SexFoil Liquid Highlighter Review & Swatches

Stargazer Melt Cosmetics Stargazer SexFoil Liquid Highlighter Melt Cosmetics Stargazer SexFoil Liquid Highlighter ($39.00 for 1.01 oz.) is a light, golden peach with a hint of pink in its base paired with a smooth, lightly metallic sheen. It had finer pearl throughout, which prevented it from emphasizing my skin’s natural texture when applied as a standalone highlighter. The consistency was lightweight, fluid, and more like a thin, spreadable gel as it maneuvered well on bare skin or over foundation without lifting up base products. It had semi-sheer color payoff, which could be built up and tended to be more medium coverage when applied to body, where a full pump (or more) was easily distributed. The formula was quick to dry down to a more powder-like finish, so I was still able to gently blend out the edges if necessary, but it wasn’t as transfer-resistant as marketed. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit. FURTHER READING : Formula Overview for de...

ColourPop Baby Doll & The Rachel Fresh Kiss Lip Cremes Reviews & Swatches

Baby Doll ColourPop Baby Doll Fresh Kiss Lip Crème ($8.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a light-medium brown with moderate, warm undertones and a cream finish. The texture was smooth, spreadable, and more velvety with less “wetness” going on, but it still was easy to work with. This particular shade seemed a little thicker, and as a result, was prone to settling into my lip lines. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer, which was more coverage than marketed, but as it was a liquid product, it was easy to use less and get a sheerer result if desired. It lasted well for four and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn. FURTHER READING : Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent).
