Passion LYS Beauty Passion Higher Standard Satin Matte Cream Blush LYS Beauty Passion Higher Standard Satin Matte Cream Blush ($16.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a rich raspberry with cool undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which could be applied with a lighter hand for more buildable coverage if preferred, but the formula was forgiving and easy to spread and diffuse for an even, sheerer layer of product (which is often how people wear blush). The texture was lightly emollient but felt more powder-like–though still blendable and movable–on my skin. It worked nicely over foundation as well as over bare skin, as it didn’t emphasize skin texture or pores, while it wasn’t prone to lifting up base products either. Bougie MAC Bougie Pro Longwear Paint Pot ($23.00 for 0.17 oz.) had a warmer, reddish-copper base with a duochrome shift that went between blue and green. It had a soft, metallic sheen that used finer pearl. The texture was lightly creamy, denser and a little thick in the pot, but it had enough slip that it adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. I had to work quickly as the formula set in place rapidly, but once on, it didn’t start to have signs of wear until after 15 hours. This shade had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable by adding a little more where needed.
