Lancome Black Prince Ruby (356) L’Absolu Rouge Ruby Cream Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark red with cooler undertones and a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented with even application that sat well on my lips and didn’t emphasize lip texture or my lip lines.
The consistency was denser, slightly firmer, which made it pull a little during application, so using shorter, more overlapping strokes was more comfortable. Once on, I didn’t find the texture to be clingy or uncomfortable to wear, though. This shade stayed on well for six and a half hours, left a stain behind, and was lightly hydrating while worn.

The formula is supposed to be "long-lasting," "richly-pigmented," and "hydrating" with "one-stroke application." The lipstick is denser with more tackiness, so it did seem to pull/drag on my lips during application a bit, though it delivered semi-opaque to opaque coverage that adhered evenly and was longer-wearing over time.
I'd recommend using shorter, more overlapping strokes to apply the color rather than a more continuous stroke, as this was comfortable and delivered full coverage and a smooth laydown of color overall. Surprisingly, the texture felt more like a traditional lipstick, the kind with more slip and creaminess, once on my lips, but it had better adhesion, which kept it in place better and prevented it from accumulating in my lip lines. Most shades wore five to six hours on me and were lightly hydrating.
There was a noticeable, powdery floral scent that translated slightly into a taste at times. It was a stronger scented product where I smelled it for a few hours into the wear, not just in the tube or when initially applied.

It was richly pigmented paired with a denser, slightly firmer texture that dragged a little when I applied it. I found it easiest to use shorter, more overlapping motions to apply the color rather than trying to do a more continuous glide.
While it didn’t feel as comfortable going on as the average lipstick, the product was comfortable to wear once it sat on my lips for a half a minute. It wore well for six and a half hours, left a pinkish stain behind, and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
